What foods does Munchy work with?
Any packaged food or drink with a barcode or a nutrition table: cereal, bread, yogurt, sauces, snacks, drinks and more. Baby and toddler foods get their own age-appropriate comparison rather than an adult grade.
What if a barcode isn’t found?
Take a clear photo of the nutrition table and Munchy reads it for you. You can always check and edit the numbers against the pack.
Does it work offline?
Barcode lookups and online label reading need an internet connection. On supported iPhones, Munchy can still read a label on the device when you’re offline.
Is my data private?
There’s no account and no ads. Your shelf and progress stay on your device, with private iCloud sync on iPhone. Label photos are sent to our service to read the nutrition table. See the privacy policy for details.
Is this medical or dietary advice?
No. Munchy gives general nutrition information from food labels. Grades, comparisons and exercise equivalents are estimates; they don’t predict weight loss or health outcomes.
Which languages are supported?
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Munchy follows your device language.
