Using Munchy

Munchy helps you understand packaged-food nutrition labels and compare products. You may use the app for your personal use. Only upload packaging images you have permission to use, without people or personal information. Do not misuse the service or interfere with its operation.

Packaging photo rules

Before uploading a packaging photo, you must accept these rules in the app. Upload only food packaging you have permission to share. Do not upload people, personal information or documents, sexual or exploitative material, hateful or harassing content, threats or graphic violence, illegal content, or unrelated images. These rules also apply to text visible in photos. Approved front-of-pack images and extracted product information may be used in Munchy's shared product database.

On Android, use Report product photo below a shared photo on the result page to report an incorrect, inappropriate or privacy-invasive image and hide it on your device. Reports contain the public image URL and your selected reason; they are reviewed privately. We can remove images or restrict contributions that violate these rules. You can also contact us through the support page to report content or request removal. Hiding a photo on your device does not itself remove it for everyone.

Nutrition information

Munchy provides general information, not medical or dietary advice. Label recognition and third-party product data can contain errors. Check the package and correct values when needed, especially for allergies or medical diets. Grades compare nutrients and do not account for every aspect of a healthy diet. Food and exercise equivalents are estimates, not measured changes to your body.

Munchy+ subscriptions

The store purchase screen shows the applicable price, billing period and any eligible trial or offer. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account before renewal. Cancelling stops future renewals; access normally continues through the paid period. Trial eligibility and refund requests are governed by the store. On Android, manage or cancel in Google Play; on iPhone, use Apple subscription settings. Restoring a purchase restores eligible Munchy+ access, not deleted local progress.

Your data

See our privacy policy for photo processing, analytics and storage. Android progress is local to the device and can be lost when you uninstall or clear app storage. On supported iPhones, progress can be backed up to your private iCloud account.
